Poshmark Fee Calculator
What you keep after Poshmark's cut
Poshmark's fee structure is simple — a flat $2.95 under $15, 20% at $15 and up — but the math on cheap items is brutal. Defaults as of 2026-09-28. Instant recalculation — no signup.
Discounted shipping offers: if you offer them, the discount comes out of your earnings
Poshmark's fee structure is simple, but shipping discounts you offer reduce your take-home.
Estimates only. Poshmark handles payment processing inside the commission and provides the prepaid label (buyer pays by default). Verify on Poshmark's fee page. Not tax advice.

How this Poshmark fee calculator works
Poshmark keeps it simple: $2.95 on sales under $15, 20% on sales of $15 or more. Payment processing is included — there is nothing extra stacked on top. The catch is at the low end: a $5 sale loses $2.95 to the flat fee, leaving $2.05 before your costs. PlainCalc shows the effective rate so the pain is visible.
The hidden lever is shipping discounts. Poshmark's prepaid label is buyer-paid by default, but sellers routinely discount shipping to close sales — that discount comes out of your 80%. Enter anything you cover so profit reflects reality. Bundles work the same way: a 20% bundle discount on top of the 20% commission means you keep roughly 64% of list.
When Poshmark still wins
Twenty percent is steep, but Poshmark brings the audience, the label logistics, and social discovery for fashion. Compare before you cross-list: our eBay calculator and Mercari calculator run the same item through different fee structures in seconds.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Poshmark take from a sale?
Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and a 20% commission on sales of $15 or more (US, as of 2026-09-28). Payment processing is included in that cut — there is no separate processing fee.
Why is Poshmark bad for cheap items?
The $2.95 flat fee is regressive. On a $5 sale it takes 59% before your costs; on a $14 sale it takes 21%. Items priced at $15+ switch to the flat 20%, which is proportionally kinder than the flat fee on anything under about $14.75.
Who pays for shipping on Poshmark?
The buyer pays for the prepaid label by default. But sellers often discount shipping to win the sale — enter that discount so your profit stays honest.
Are there listing fees on Poshmark?
No. Listing is free; you only pay when an item sells. That makes Poshmark cheap to experiment on, even though the per-sale commission is high.
Poshmark vs eBay vs Mercari — which keeps me more?
It depends on price point. Run the same item through all three calculators: Mercari's 10% usually wins on fees alone, eBay sits in the middle, Poshmark takes the most — but audience and sell-through speed differ by category.
Does Poshmark charge sellers a payment processing fee?
No separate one. The commission includes payment processing, unlike some platforms that stack a processing percentage on top of their commission.
